Oryx Veterinary Clinic is looking for a locum veterinarian to join our mixed practice in Upington from August 2026 until end December 2026. This is a fixed-term position covering both small animal and production animal work – general consultations and surgery, herd health, and equine cases. We are looking for someone who can work across the full range with confidence and sound clinical judgement. The role: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:30 One Saturday morning every third week, 09:00 to 12:00 After-hours on-call one week every third week, including that weekend (the on-call week follows the Saturday you work) Based in Upington, serving the surrounding farming community and town clientele What we are looking for: 1. Current SAVC registration 2. The ability to work independently across small animal and production animal cases, including surgery, herd health and equine work 3. Confidence handling both routine and emergency presentations on your own during on-call periods On offer: Remuneration is negotiable.
